Taxi cents per kilometre rates

The cents per kilometre earnings rate is an estimate of the average income of a taxi based on kilometres travelled.

This method of estimating income is used by the ATO when adequate records are not available. The rates are also a reference guide for income tax or BAS return preparation or to compare performance against the industry norms.
